I created the “Land and Oil News” website in order to bring attention to my paid subscriber newsletter, “Land and Oil News”. I thought that it was necessary to provide some information for free to the general public, in order to attract more newsletter subscribers.

My main theme on this website and in my newsletter, is that there is oil underground in every state, and that sometime in the next 50 years, just about every state will have an Oil Boom. Between the ages of 42 years to 47 years, I lived and worked in the Oil Boom Towns of Dickinson and Watford City, North Dakota; Vernal, Utah; and Carrizo Springs, Texas. I experienced everything about the Oil Boom, and most importantly, The Bust.

Whether it was land owners, business owners, oil companies, service companies, trucking companies, local people, or out-of-state workers, everyone would have been better off if they would have had correct, truthful, current information. Much aggravation, hardships, suffering, and mistakes could have been avoided if everyone would have known what to expect.

I named my website and my newsletter “Land and Oil News”, because the most permanently impacted and most affected group during the Oil Boom and the Oil Bust are the land owners. Real Estate prices quadruple in just a few years, property taxes go up and up, property owners receive every kind of business proposition, some are offered oil leases, new road construction, new development, new infrastructure, new schools. Then, when the Oil Boom is over, Real Estate prices plummet, but property taxes remain high for years afterwards in order to keep paying for the new roads, new infrastructure, and new schools.

I want to share what I learned living and working in the Oil Boom. I want to provide information in the following areas:
